The manner in which we develop our programs do not restrict us to specific geographical areas or only within close proximity to our facilities. We stand ready for any challenge, especially where multi-plant full Enterprise efforts are concerned. Each PSI discipline is dedicated to the improvement of our environment and the lives that depend on that environment. Our program goals are to set up environmentally beneficial programs that make good economical sense and benefit.
As the President and CEO of Polymer Sciences, I have seen remarkable changes and achievements in our industry I never thought possible. We have improved the standard of living in regions within various continents and forged new standards in technological innovation for industrial environmental directives. We have begun the framework for a new and different industrial mindset in dealing with waste materials. With a small contribution anyone can join us in our recycling efforts for all types of plastics – even Styrofoam. Polymer Sciences (PSI) has been diverting plastics from land fill through recycling since 1994. In 2006 we opened a plant in Atlanta dedicated to recycling of Styrofoam (yes it can be recycled – contrary to popular belief). With the down turn in the economy, lenders have demanded that we pay off our credit lines with them in full. Since it is difficult to get a loan with other lenders during this recession we have not found other sources to pay off these requirements. There’s nothing we can do, as the saying goes the man with the money is in command.
PLEASE HELP! We are a small company and we are turning to the community we have served for over 14 years to help us raise enough money to satisfy the demands of our creditors. PSI is a profitable company, but the current economic conditions and the Bankers attitude to small business loans have changed the landscape of lending. We do not have enough money on hand to pay off this debt, consequently; they can drive us out of business if they desire. We are passionate about what we do and we want to continue diverting Styrofoam and other plastic materials from going into our natural resources and land fills. Please become a part of our effort, donate what ever you can and join us as a contributing member to recycling. Our goal is to raise $2 million and close out our accounts with the bank in the first half of 2009. We are making a special plaque to hang in the foyer at our Atlanta plant that will display the names of all member donors as life time members of our Recycling Efforts and Environmental Causes. We will also post your name on our web page as a member donor who joins us in the efforts of recycling. PSI currently recycles over 21 million pounds of material a year, that’s equivalent to 1,811 semi-truck loads or 146 miles of plastic piled 5 feet high. We will regularly post how much material we have recycled on our web page so you will know how your contribution has been used and how much material you are directly responsible for recycling. We will always make ourselves available if you want to visit one of our plants or call to inquire about recycling or our progress and operations.
Your donations will make you an integral part in cleaning up ALL of this trash that we encounter on our planet and keeping it from contaminating the Earth. No one can accomplish this alone, but together we can all participate.
