7/20/2020 - Polymer Sciences takes delivery of additional advanced metal detection and separation equipment across all lines of production. Along with existing practices and equipment, this allows greater continuity and redundancy in assuring our customer's dependence on ferrous & non-ferrous free contaminates in regrind materials and re-pelletized materials alike.
2/15/2019 - Polymer Sciences takes delivery of Beier PVC extrusion/pelletization strand system for client applications. The pelletization system was received in Atlanta's Wheaton facility and operated in a secluded building on-site to re-pelletize flexible PVC regrind provided by clients in the construction/roofing industry. All materials are subject to process through a proprietary cleaning process for fiber, and other contaminate removal. The strandline is capable of operating at advanced speeds for maximum throughput and pellet control. The line was designed and produced at specifications consistent with f-PVC and can run additional commodity resign, but will remain a dedicated PVC operation. This line complements existing extrusion/pelletization processes at this facility and fits into PSI processing operations while affording cross-marketing strategies.
12/15/2018 - Polymer Sciences takes delivery of additional Vecoplan size reduction equipment and accessories, creating additional size reduction lines for production.
